> At electronics and automation trade fairs, a humanoid robot draws engineers and buyers onto the stand, talks about the exhibitor's products in their language and is a live example of what sensors, drives and chips from the exhibitor's range are used for. Demonstrations must be registered with the organiser, stay within noise limits and keep the robot away from ESD-protected areas. MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland) provides Unitree G1 and H2 robots for trade fairs with its own operators and conversation in more than 30 languages.

A humanoid robot on an electronics or automation trade fair stand plays two roles at once. It is a magnet that stops engineers and buyers in the aisle, and a live example of what the exhibitor sells: a humanoid robot is full of sensors, drives, batteries, control electronics and communication modules. At fairs such as electronica in Munich, SPS in Nuremberg or Evertiq Expo in Kraków the audience is technical, so the robot has to talk specifically about products, not just wave.

## When are electronica, SPS and Evertiq Expo held?

The three events electronics exhibitors in Poland and Germany ask about most differ in scale and focus:

| Trade fair | City | Dates | Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| [electronica](https://electronica.de/en/) | Munich | 10-13 November 2026 | Every two years; components, systems, applications |
| [SPS](https://sps.mesago.com/nuernberg/en.html) | Nuremberg | 24-26 November 2026 | Industrial automation |
| [Evertiq Expo](https://evertiq.com/expo/krk2027_about) | Kraków | 9 June 2027 | One-day electronics fair, free entry |

According to the organiser, electronica 2024 had more than 3,480 exhibitors and over 80,000 visitors from around the world. SPS announces more than 1,000 exhibitors. Evertiq Expo in Kraków is a smaller, one-day meeting of electronics designers and buyers with free entry.

## What can a humanoid robot do on an electronics stand?

A humanoid robot on an electronics company's stand works best in four tasks:

- **Stopping traffic in the hall.** The robot greets visitors, starts conversations with passers-by and directs them to sales engineers.
- **Talking about the range.** The robot knows the exhibitor's catalogue and answers product questions, handing harder conversations to engineers.
- **Demonstrating components.** A maker of sensors, drives or batteries can show where such parts work inside a humanoid robot.
- **Social media content.** Short videos of the robot on the stand, visitor interviews, coverage of the fair.

Similar roles are already appearing: at the opening of electronica India and productronica India 2025, [the host was assisted by a humanoid called VOLT-E](https://circuitdigest.com/news/electronica-india-and-productronica-india-2025-inauguration-marked-by-digital-pledges-and-robotic-spectacles), which welcomed guests and waved back at the audience.

In practice, MERA Robotics prepares the robot for a specific exhibitor in its MERA OS system: the robot gets knowledge about the company and catalogue, its own persona and voice, and an operator controls its movement from a phone app. The robot can also recognise a product on display with its camera and talk about it, which works well next to a showcase of modules or boards.

## How do you prepare a robot for an electronics stand?

Preparing a humanoid robot for an electronics stand starts with content, not hardware. The exhibitor provides the list of products on display, the questions customers ask most and the names of the people the robot should send visitors to. Also agree what the robot does not say: prices, delivery dates and specifications beyond the datasheet. Finally, a short rehearsal on the stand on build-up day checks the route, the microphone and the hall noise.

## Which rules apply on a Messe München stand?

A robot demonstration on a stand must be registered with the organiser. The technical guidelines of Messe München, where electronica is held, require [prior written approval](https://intersolar.de/media/doc/604096f24ad933059b3586f7) for all demonstrations and presentations and for moving or acoustic advertising. Demonstrations must not cause congestion in the aisles, and volume must not exceed 70 dB(A) at the stand boundary. The guidelines are published for each event, so check the version for your fair.

Electronics fairs add one more point: areas protected against electrostatic discharge. If the stand has open boards, soldering stations or demonstrations with sensitive chips, the robot should work outside that area, and visitors should not pass items from the robot's hands to test benches.

The other rules are the same as at any fair: the robot does not block aisles or escape routes, and it has a set route and a place for battery swaps. Unitree lists a 9000 mAh battery for the G1 and about 2 hours of operation, so a full fair day needs spare batteries.

## What about AI conversation on the stand?

A robot that talks with visitors through an AI system should say so. [Article 50 of the AI Act](https://artificialintelligenceact.eu/article/50/) requires AI systems intended to interact directly with people to be designed so that people know they are talking to AI. A short statement at the start of the conversation and a sign next to the robot are enough. It is also good practice for the robot not to promise specifications, delivery dates or discounts and to pass such questions to sales.

## Which robot should you choose for the stand?

A typical hall stand suits a smaller humanoid such as the Unitree G1 (about 132 cm, about 35 kg): it fits between exhibits and is easier to transport. The full-size Unitree H2 (about 182 cm) makes a stronger impression on a large stand or near a stage. Companies that want to own a robot, for a lab or a permanent showroom, can buy Unitree robots, including the G1 EDU with a full SDK. All models are listed in the [robot catalogue](https://merarobotics.com/blog/robots-for-rent-and-sale), and robotics-focused fairs are covered in our article on [automation and robotics trade fairs](https://merarobotics.com/blog/humanoid-robot-automation-robotics-trade-fair-automatica-hannover-messe-itm-who).

## How to choose a partner for a robot at an electronics trade fair?

A partner for a humanoid robot at an electronics trade fair is best judged on criteria you can check before signing:

1. **Own operators on the stand** for the whole fair.
2. **Own conversation software** that can load the exhibitor's catalogue and technical knowledge.
3. **Languages**, because electronica and SPS draw visitors from many countries.
4. **Trade fair experience** in Poland and abroad.
5. **Robot checked before the fair** and spare batteries.
6. **Option to buy and deploy** the robot if the company wants to keep it after the fair.

MERA Robotics in Warsaw rents Unitree G1 and Unitree H2 robots for trade fairs together with its own operators, and every robot is checked before the event. Conversations run on its own MERA OS system in more than 30 languages, with client knowledge prepared for the specific fair. The company works at events in Poland and abroad, including the international trade fair in Cannes in September 2026, and its robot Edward Warchocki has appeared at the Evertiq Expo trade fair in Kraków. MERA also sells Unitree robots through its shop merarobots.com and deploys them with MERA OS, including training for the client's team. Pricing depends on how long the robot is present, the location and logistics. Enquiries: contact@merarobotics.com or the form at merarobotics.com.
