DexForce W1 Pro is a wheeled humanoid from DexForce Technology of Shenzhen: a torso with two 7-axis arms, hands or grippers, on a mobile base. It works in retail, services, manufacturing and training-data collection, and its software is trained mainly on synthetic simulation data rather than teleoperation recordings.

History and launch

DexForce was founded in 2021 out of the Geometry Perception & Intelligence Lab that Prof. Kui Jia started in 2016. It began with vision kits and grasping software (PickWiz) built on sim-to-real transfer.

Its first humanoid, DexForce W1, appeared in 2025 and went straight into commercial and industrial pilots. W1 Pro is the expanded version with a new stereo camera, more compute and a choice of mobile bases.

Design and hardware

W1 Pro measures 682 × 550 × 1636 mm and weighs 110 kg. The full version has 34 DoF with a differential base or 40 with an omnidirectional one: neck 2, each arm 7 (shoulder 3, elbow 1, wrist 3), waist 2, legs 2, each hand 6 (five fingers) or gripper 2, base 2 or 8. Each arm lifts up to 10 kg with ±0.5 mm repeatability. The W1 Core is a stationary 22-DoF upper body.

The head carries a 6 cm baseline stereo camera; DexForce says the second generation has 4× the frame rate, two-thirds lower power and 25% better precision. Wrist RGBD cameras and 6-axis force sensors are optional. The base has two LiDARs and two cameras for SLAM, a top speed of 1.5 m/s (1.2 m/s rated) and a 40 Ah battery for 8+ hours.

Control runs at 1 kHz over EtherCAT with 0.1 N force precision, on a dual-PC setup with at least 300 TOPS.

Software and AI

The stack centers on the DexVerse engine and the EmbodiChain platform, which generates synthetic data and trains on it. DexForce describes its Sim2Real VLA as the first vision-language-action model trained end to end on 100% synthetic data; EmbodiChain was open-sourced in January 2026. An LLM-based voice model handles conversation, and teleoperation is supported.

Some catalogs mention 21-DoF hands and a policy trained on 50,000 hours of teleoperation. DexForce lists 6 active DoF per hand and emphasizes synthetic data.

Deployments

DexForce shows W1 Pro making coffee, in elder care, manufacturing, power inspection, customer service and data collection. It runs robot service kiosks (ice cream, coffee) with partners, and in September 2026 announced factory deployments with a Sunwoda subsidiary. It reports more than 50 active deployments across industry and commerce.

Company

DexForce Technology Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Nanshan, Shenzhen, with offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Zhuhai and Chengdu. Its angel round came from Songhe Capital and ZhenFund among others; it announced A1 and A2 rounds worth several hundred million yuan in July 2025 and a RMB 1 billion Series B in June 2026.
