Figure 03

In development

Figure 03 is Figure AI's third-generation humanoid, unveiled in October 2025. It was redesigned from scratch around the Helix AI model, home use and volume production at Figure's BotQ plant. In 2026 it works at BMW's Spartanburg plant, among other sites, and is being tested in Bay Area homes.

History and launch

Figure AI introduced Figure 03 on 9 October 2025, describing a ground-up hardware and software redesign with three goals: enabling Helix, safety in the home and low-cost mass manufacturing.

Figure 03 then replaced Figure 02 across deployments. In April 2026 Figure said BotQ had delivered more than 350 units and lifted output from one robot per day to one per hour.

Hardware

Figure's product page lists a height of 5 ft 8 in (about 173 cm), a weight of 61 kg, a 20 kg payload, a walking speed of 1.2 m/s and up to 5 hours of runtime. The robot is 9% lighter than Figure 02 and considerably smaller in volume.

Its new cameras deliver twice the frame rate, a quarter of the latency and a 60% wider field of view per camera. Each palm has its own camera for when the head cameras are blocked, and in-house fingertip sensors register forces as small as 3 grams.

For the home, the robot is wrapped in removable, washable textiles with foam over pinch points. Coils in the feet allow 2 kW inductive charging, so the robot can dock itself on a charging stand. The battery is certified to UN38.3 with protection at several levels. Figure says the actuators are twice as fast as before, and the speaker and microphone were upgraded for speech.

Software and AI

The robot runs Helix, Figure's vision-language-action model. Helix 02, shown in January 2026, controls the whole body, combining walking, manipulation and balance in one network; in Figure's demo the robot unloaded and reloaded a dishwasher across a full kitchen in a four-minute autonomous run.

In September 2026 Figure presented Helix 2.5, pretrained on its Index dataset of human behaviour. Figure says the robot tidied living rooms, folded towels and made beds in 30 Bay Area homes without any data collected there beforehand. Figure 03 can also offload fleet data wirelessly at up to 10 Gbps.

Use cases and deployments

In June 2026 Figure 03 arrived in Hall 52 of BMW's Spartanburg plant to handle parts sequencing: picking parts from bins, placing them in the right slots and pulling carts down the line.

In May 2026 Figure signed a commercial agreement with Catalyst Brands (owner of JCPenney and Brooks Brothers, among others) to deploy humanoids at its distribution centre in Reno, Nevada. Home trials so far are run by Figure itself.

Manufacturer

Figure AI is a Silicon Valley company founded by Brett Adcock. In September 2025 it raised more than $1 billion in a Series C at a $39 billion valuation. It builds robots in its own BotQ facility, and in September 2026 it signed a deal with Nscale for access to up to 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs for model training.

Price and availability

Figure has not published a price or a consumer launch date for Figure 03. It is available to commercial partners under individual agreements.

Compared with the catalogue

  • At 173 cm the Figure 03 is taller than 60% of the humanoids in the catalogue (median: 170 cm).
  • It has 36 degrees of freedom against a catalogue median of 28; more degrees of freedom usually means finer arm and hand movement.
  • Its weight of 61 kg (catalogue median: 65 kg) matters for transport and for working around people.
  • It is one of 2 Figure models in the catalogue and one of 43 humanoids from USA.
