Elixis is a general-purpose bipedal humanoid from India's Addverb Technologies, a Noida-based warehouse automation company. It is meant to support staff in logistics, warehousing, healthcare and retail by taking on repetitive, heavy or hazardous work. Addverb offers a walking Elixis and a wheeled Elixis-W.
Design and technology
Addverb's product page lists 175 cm, 75 kg and 41 degrees of freedom. Each arm carries 5 kg, walking speed is up to 1 m/s and targeted battery life is 60 to 90 minutes. It uses high-speed planetary BLDC actuators, with either five-finger dexterous hands or parallel-jaw grippers; the hands have dual encoders and optional tactile sensing.
Perception comes from four stereo depth cameras and a 3D lidar, plus two 9-axis IMUs, optional foot pressure sensors, an HMI screen and a curved face display. The main controller is an Intel i7, AI runs on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin, and six STM32 microcontrollers handle safety.
The wheeled Elixis-W is meant for longer routes: it carries 10 kg, travels at 1.5 m/s and runs about 2 hours per charge.
Software and AI
The software stack combines 3D SLAM and navigation, model predictive control, reinforcement and imitation learning, and a two-layer safety system. Addverb says it is VLA-ready with multimodal sensor fusion. The robot can program tasks, chain steps and run routines across logistics, manufacturing and facilities, and a developer portal is available.
Applications
Addverb pitches Elixis as "human augmentation, not replacement": taking dull, dirty and dangerous work in logistics, warehousing, healthcare and retail. It has not publicly named customers using the humanoid.
