Spaceo M1 is a wheeled social humanoid from Muks Robotics of Pune, India. It is designed to guide and greet people at airports, malls, hotels and offices. It is the most mature model of the Spaceo family and the only one the company offers for order.

History and launch

Muks Robotics showed its Spaceo robots publicly at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi in March 2025. The M1 launched commercially in January 2026, when orders opened to enterprises. In February 2026 it ran an 8 to 10 day pilot in the arrivals hall at Pune Airport.

Design and technology

Per the maker's spec page, M1 is 162.5 cm tall, weighs about 45 kg with battery and has 12 degrees of freedom: five per arm and two in the base. It drives on wheels at up to 1.5 m/s and only on flat floors. The body is aluminium with polymer covers.

Sensing comes from a 5 MP RGB camera, an Intel RealSense depth camera and a 2D lidar, plus a four-mic array, a 5 W speaker and a 7-inch touchscreen. Compute is an AMD Ryzen 7 with 16 GB RAM, with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin AGX (about 275 TOPS) or RTX 5070 for AI. A 25.6 V, 45 Ah LiFePO4 pack gives about 8 hours of operation according to the website (launch coverage said 6) or 72 hours standby, with autonomous docking.

Software and AI

Spaceo runs Muks' own FusionMax model, which combines speech, vision, memory, task planning and navigation. The company says conversation runs on the robot without the cloud and in many languages (more than 85 were cited at Pune Airport). In 2026 Muks announced a collaboration with AMD around Ryzen AI Embedded processors.

Applications and deployments

At Pune Airport the M1 guided passengers to check-in, gates and restrooms, gave flight, restaurant and city information, helped book cabs and pulled luggage on a trolley. The company planned further trials at a Pune metro station and talks with Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Manufacturer

Muks Robotics AI Pvt. Ltd. was registered in Pune in 2021. Its founder and CEO is Dr Mukesh Bangar. Besides M1, it is developing the industrial Spaceo Pro and the bipedal Spaceo Prime, which it also pitches for space exploration. No M1 price is published; the warranty is 12 months.
