FF Futurist is a full-size humanoid in the "EAI" (embodied AI) robot line from Faraday Future, until now known for its FF 91 electric SUV. FF targets it at reception, hospitality, commercial services, manufacturing, healthcare and university research. The starting preorder price is 34,990 dollars.
Place in Faraday Future's lineup
In 2026 Faraday Future (NASDAQ: FFAI) built a robotics business alongside its EVs. It covers three robots: the full-size "professional" FF Futurist humanoid, the smaller athletic FF Master humanoid companion (from 19,990 dollars) for education, entertainment and performances, and the FX Aegis quadruped for security. Futurist is therefore not a successor to Master but the pricier model for professional work.
FF says that in under a year the unit launched three robot forms and 24 FCC-certified products, and that by the end of September 2026 it had sold and shipped 817 devices in total across all models (265 in September alone).
Applications
The product page casts Futurist as a hotel concierge: greeting guests, handling room service, and working as a sales advisor, host, brand ambassador and research or teaching assistant. FF also lists roles as an industrial partner and household helper. In investor updates FF names education and, from Q4 2026, security and inspection as the main focus areas for the whole line.
Software and AI
FF robots are meant to share one "EAI Brain" built on foundation models, agents and skills, offered to developers as an open platform; FF claims more than 100 signed developers and partners. A skill package is charged on top of Futurist's base price. FF has not published technical specs (height, weight, DoF, runtime) in the materials we reviewed.
Manufacturer
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. is a Los Angeles company founded by YT Jia, who leads it as global CEO. In late September 2026 FF signed a non-binding term sheet to sell its robotics business to AIxCrypto, renamed FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. (NASDAQ: FFR), for about 200 million dollars in stock. FF says the robotics unit booked about 1.52 million dollars of cumulative revenue by Q2 2026.
