Maker H01 is a wheeled humanoid from China's GigaAI, a developer of world models and vision-language-action models. It has two high-DoF arms on a mobile base, stands about 1.6 m and is the main robot on which GigaAI trains and tests its GigaBrain models.
Design and technology
According to GigaAI's website, Maker H01 comes in an adult-height version of about 1.6 m. It has two arms with many degrees of freedom on a mobile chassis, more than twenty DoF in total, and several sensor types for fine manipulation and compliant motion control. GigaAI does not publish weight, payload or runtime.
The company also built data-capture devices whose sensors match Maker H01 exactly: a handheld UMI gripper and a head-mounted EGO camera. GigaAI's materials make no mention of a Raspberry Pi or 3D-printable parts.
Software and AI
The robot's "brain" is the GigaBrain model family, providing end-to-end decision-making and control. GigaBrain-0.5 was pretrained on more than 10,000 hours of manipulation data, and GigaBrain-0.5M* (February 2026) adds world-model-based reinforcement learning. GigaBrain-0.7 (August 2026) uses over 37,000 hours of data, and its authors report strong results on Maker H01 in home and industrial scenarios.
GigaAI says 300 UMI demonstrations are enough for Maker H01 to perform a new task autonomously. Combining data from Maker H01, the Maker M01 wheeled manipulator and open datasets, it curated 20,500 hours of real-robot data. It also develops the GigaWorld world model, with GigaWorld-0 open-sourced.
Applications and deployments
GigaAI targets homes, commercial services and light industry. For now Maker H01 serves mainly as the company's research platform; no sales figures have been given.
Manufacturer
GigaAI has R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Wuhan. Outside robotics it builds the DriveDreamer world models for autonomous-driving simulation.
