HONOR, the Chinese phone maker, unveiled its first humanoid robot at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. Its robots are meant for shopping assistance, workplace inspections and above all companionship. Two models, HONOR Robotics D1 and A1, ran in Beijing's 2026 humanoid half-marathon. No technical specifications have been published.
History and launch
In March 2025 HONOR announced its ALPHA PLAN, a strategy to turn the phone maker into an AI device ecosystem company, including devices for what it calls the physical AI era.
On March 1, 2026 at MWC in Barcelona it showed its first humanoid alongside the Robot Phone and the Magic V6 foldable, describing it as the start of a broader push to apply its mobile expertise to consumer robots.
Design and hardware
HONOR has not disclosed height, weight, degrees of freedom or battery life. Its robotics page describes two models:
HONOR Robotics D1 has autonomous perception and navigation and an in-house high-dynamic motion system for fast running and rough terrain, with mecha-style design and light strips and gestures for feedback while moving. HONOR Robotics A1 emphasizes stability, spatial awareness, voice interaction and multimodal situational understanding, and can dance.
Software and AI
HONOR wants its robots tied into its device ecosystem so they recognize users and their needs from the first interaction. Its HONOR AI Connect platform is meant to carry a user's AI agent, a personal digital twin, from phone to car, smart home and service robot.
Use cases
HONOR names three scenarios: shopping assistance, workplace inspections and companionship. At the 2026 humanoid half-marathon in Beijing E-Town, D1 won a Best Design award and A1 a Best Gait award; HONOR also says D1 was the first robot to beat the human half-marathon limit, without giving a time on the page.
