4NE1 Gen 3.5 is the latest generation of the full-size humanoid from German company NEURA Robotics, based in Metzingen. Its body was styled with Studio F.A. History and launch

NEURA Robotics began with collaborative arms (MAiRA, LARA) and the MiPA service robot. The 4NE1 humanoid is its most ambitious line, which NEURA describes as designed for series production.

The new 4NE1 generation was revealed at CES 2026 in Las Vegas in early January 2026, with styling developed alongside Studio F.A. Porsche, the design studio behind the Porsche 911. The same show introduced the smaller 4NE1 Mini (about 132 cm, aimed at research and education) and the NEURA Quadruped.

Design and hardware

NEURA's product page lists 180 cm, 80 kg and a speed of 5 km/h, with payload given as a 10-100 kg range without further explanation. The robot has integrated high-dexterity hands, high-torque actuation, 360° perception and a sensor skin that detects nearby people.

The 4NE1 family comes in variants: wheeled versions for industrial floors, a version with a seventh arm axis for extra reach, and exchangeable forearms. A Gen 3.5 delivery includes the robot with hands, a high-capacity battery and a charging station; third-party end effectors are extra. NEURA notes that hardware and styling may still be refined before release.

Software and AI

The robot connects to NEURA's Neuraverse platform via NEURA Sync. The idea is that a skill learned by one robot becomes available to all, and developers will be able to publish and sell skills in a Neuraverse marketplace. Physical NEURA Gyms collect motion and interaction data for training.

Developers get a Python SDK, a C++ SDK and a ROS 2 interface, along with digital twin access and teleoperation. The robots NEURA showed at CES 2026 ran NVIDIA Isaac GR00T and were trained in Isaac Lab and Isaac Sim.

Applications and deployments

NEURA positions 4NE1 for manipulation and transport in logistics and manufacturing and for human interaction, with household help as a later goal. Coverage of the Series C cited a multi-billion-euro order pipeline, but NEURA has not publicly named humanoid customers.

Manufacturer

NEURA Robotics GmbH was founded in 2019 in Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg, by CEO David Reger and employs more than 1,400 people from over 45 countries.

In June 2026 NEURA announced a Series C of up to 1.4 billion USD, tied to milestones, with investors including Tether, Amazon, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Bosch, Schaeffler and the European Investment Bank. The money is earmarked for rolling out humanoids globally, developing the Neuraverse and scaling production. Its Series B in January 2025, led by Lingotto Investment Management, raised 120 million euro.

Price and availability

NEURA estimates 98,000 euro per unit for orders of 1-19 robots and 60,000 euro for 20 or more, excluding tax and shipping. A 100 euro reservation is fully refundable and credited toward the purchase. Availability is expected at the end of 2026; industrial quantities go through the sales team.
