Dex is the first industrial humanoid from Las Vegas-based Richtech Robotics: a dual-arm robot on a wheeled base or a fixed stand. It is meant for machine tending, part sorting, material handling, quality inspection and packing, and is trained partly in NVIDIA Isaac Sim.

History and launch

Nasdaq-listed Richtech Robotics (RR) unveiled Dex on October 28, 2025 at NVIDIA GTC in Washington, DC, where the robot ran industrial machinery to assemble baseball caps for visitors. Richtech showed it again at CES in Las Vegas in early January 2026.

Design and hardware

Dex combines two earlier Richtech lines: the autonomous mobile base of the Titan delivery robots and the two-armed precision of the ADAM service robot. Richtech deliberately chose wheels over legs, citing stability, fast braking and lower energy and maintenance costs.

Richtech lists the mobile version at 4 ft 6 in (about 137 cm) and the stationary one at 3 ft 7 in (about 109 cm). Each arm carries 11 lb (about 5 kg), with modular end effectors such as hands, clamps or special tools. Task vision uses four cameras (two depth, two arm-mounted), navigation uses lidar, an RGB camera, a depth camera and an IMU, and compute is an NVIDIA Jetson Thor.

The mobile version runs 4 hours on battery and recharges in 2 hours; the stationary version runs continuously on mains power. The base handles floor gaps up to 1.5 in and ridges up to 0.7 in and is ADA ramp compliant.

Software and AI

Richtech trains Dex with a Sim2Real pipeline: skills are learned in NVIDIA Isaac Sim and refined with real-world data. Alongside the launch it announced a US robotics data collection initiative and plans to license parts of that dataset to other companies. The robot receives over-the-air updates.

Applications and deployments

Richtech targets light and medium industrial tasks: machine operation, part sorting and material handling, quality inspection and packaging. Dex draws on lessons from more than 450 deployments of other Richtech robots in the US, but as of October 2026 the company had not announced a named Dex customer. It invites companies to discuss pilots.

Manufacturer

Richtech Robotics is headquartered in Las Vegas and is known for hospitality service robots such as the ADAM bartender and Titan delivery robots. Its president is Matt Casella.
