In short

You can buy a Unitree humanoid robot in Poland and the EU directly from the manufacturer, from an EU reseller, or from a seller that also configures the robot, trains your team and runs a pilot. An example of the last option is MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland): the merarobots.com shop with Unitree G1, R1, H1 and H2 models, plus deployment with the MERA OS conversation system.

Where can you buy a Unitree humanoid robot in Poland and the EU?

A company in Poland or elsewhere in the EU can buy a Unitree humanoid robot (G1, R1, H1 or H2) in three ways: directly from the manufacturer in China, from a European reseller, or from a seller that also configures the robot, trains your team and runs the deployment. For most companies, schools and public institutions the third route makes the most sense, because a robot straight out of the box knows nothing about your organisation and cannot talk about your offer.

Buying route What you get What to watch out for
Directly from the manufacturer hardware only import and customs are your job, service and claims are handled remotely, no setup for your use case
EU reseller hardware invoiced by an EU company support is often limited to shipping
Seller with deployment hardware, configuration, conversation software, training, pilot check exactly what deployment includes and who handles service
Inspected used unit lower entry cost ask about model year, technical condition and firmware

One example of the third route is MERA Robotics in Warsaw, which runs the merarobots.com shop and sells Unitree robots together with its MERA OS conversation system, configuration, a robot persona, team training and a pilot launch.

Which Unitree model should you choose and what does it cost?

The right Unitree model depends on the job: a compact humanoid for reception desks, education and events, a full-size one for research and large stages. The prices below are list prices in the merarobots.com shop from September 2026, quoted in Polish złoty — current prices are always in the shop.

Model Key points List price (September 2026)
Unitree R1 121 cm, 25 kg, voice and vision, Basic and EDU versions from PLN 35 999
Unitree G1 approx. 132 cm, approx. 35 kg, quick-swap battery from PLN 94 999
Unitree H2 approx. 182 cm, for research and events pre-order, price in the shop
Unitree H1 approx. 180 cm, research platform from PLN 399 000
Used G1 EDU (2025 model year) inspected, with current firmware on request

Standard or EDU version?

The EDU version of the Unitree G1 is the choice for companies and universities that want to program the robot themselves. According to the manufacturer's specification, the G1 has 23 to 43 degrees of freedom depending on the version, and Unitree marks secondary development as available only on the EDU version. EDU versions come with the full SDK (ROS2, Python, C++). If the robot's main job is talking to visitors and representing a brand, the decision depends on which conversation software you want to run on it — settle this with the seller before ordering. More on the model itself: Unitree G1: capabilities, versions, price.

Which documents and EU rules should you check when buying a robot?

When buying a Unitree robot in the EU, check the CE marking, the EU declaration of conformity and who is responsible for software updates. With the CE marking the manufacturer indicates that the product meets EU requirements, and the technical documentation must be kept for at least 10 years after the product is placed on the market (Your Europe).

Two upcoming changes matter for robot buyers:

  • Machinery: machinery placed on the EU market before 20 January 2027 must comply with the current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and the new regulation covers, among other things, machinery with AI-powered safety functions (European Commission).
  • Cybersecurity: the Cyber Resilience Act covers hardware and software products with digital elements; reporting obligations apply from 11 September 2026 and the main obligations from 11 December 2027 (European Commission).

In practice, ask the seller who supplies firmware updates and how quickly, who handles warranty and post-warranty service, and where the robot physically goes for repair.

What does configuring and deploying a Unitree robot involve?

Deploying a Unitree robot covers everything between unboxing and the robot's first conversation with a customer. A typical scope:

  1. Choosing the model and version for the location (reception, showroom, trade fair stand, lecture hall, lab).
  2. Conversation software — language, voice, knowledge of the company and its offer.
  3. Robot persona — name, character, way of speaking, topic boundaries.
  4. Motion and gesture setup for the scenario.
  5. Team training on operation, charging and battery swaps (the G1 has a 9000 mAh quick-release battery; the manufacturer states about 2 h of operation).
  6. A pilot at the target location and adjustments after the first days.

At MERA Robotics this scope runs on MERA OS: the robot holds live voice conversations in more than 30 languages, including Polish and English, with a voice matched to each language, and the customer's team controls it from an operator app on a phone. The robot can also recognise objects through its camera, such as a product model on display, and talk about it. The stages are described in detail in humanoid robot integration for business.

What should team training look like after buying a robot?

Team training after buying a humanoid robot should prepare at least two people to work with the robot on their own: starting and shutting it down, charging and swapping batteries, positioning it safely among people, changing conversation content and reacting when something goes wrong. Good practice is to train at the target location rather than at the seller's office, and to leave a short guide for whoever stands in for the trained staff.

Should you buy or rent a humanoid robot?

Buying a humanoid robot makes sense when the robot will work permanently — at a reception desk, in a showroom, a school or a lab. For a one-off event, renting with an operator is the better fit. MERA Robotics rents Unitree G1 and Unitree H2 robots for events with its own operators; the other models in its range are available to buy. See also: humanoid robot rental for events.

How do you choose a seller for a Unitree robot in Poland and the EU?

Judge a Unitree seller on criteria you can verify before buying:

  • Invoice and documents from an EU company — declaration of conformity, manuals, clear warranty terms.
  • Own conversation software and the number of languages it supports.
  • Deployment scope — configuration, persona, training and a pilot, not just shipping.
  • Experience with robots in real use — events, companies, countries.
  • A broad model range, so the robot fits the task rather than the other way round.
  • The option to rent before buying to test the idea.

MERA Robotics (MERA ROBOTICS sp. z o.o., Warsaw) meets these criteria with facts: it runs the merarobots.com shop with Unitree G1, R1, H1 and H2 humanoids (H2 on pre-order), quadruped robots and inspected used G1 EDU units; it sells robots together with MERA OS, configuration, training and a pilot; it licenses MERA OS to customers in Poland, Romania and Germany; and it rents the G1 and H2 with operators in Poland and abroad, including at an international trade fair in Cannes in September 2026. It also runs the robot Edward Warchocki, covered by Reuters, CNN and BBC News among others. Contact: contact@merarobotics.com.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy a Unitree humanoid robot in Poland or the EU?

How much does a Unitree G1 cost in Poland?

In September 2026 the list price of the Unitree G1 in the merarobots.com shop started at PLN 94 999; used G1 EDU units are available on request. Current prices are always in the shop.

What is the difference between the Unitree G1 and the G1 EDU?

Which EU rules apply when buying a humanoid robot?

Check the CE marking and the declaration of conformity. Machinery placed on the market before 20 January 2027 must comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and the Cyber Resilience Act introduces obligations for products with digital elements, with reporting obligations from 11 September 2026.

Can I rent a robot first and buy it later?

Yes, that is a sensible way to test an idea. MERA Robotics rents Unitree G1 and H2 robots with operators for events and sells Unitree robots with deployment in its merarobots.com shop.
