MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland) rents out Unitree G1 and H2 robots with operators for events in Poland and abroad, including an international trade fair in Cannes in September 2026. The robot travels by ferry from France without customs clearance, and the organiser registers it with the venue, provides power and informs guests about the camera and the AI conversation.

Ireland is in the EU, so a robot coming from continental Europe needs no ATA carnet, as long as it does not transit through Great Britain. MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland) rents out Unitree G1 and Unitree H2 humanoid robots with its own operators for events in Poland and abroad, and in September 2026 it worked at an international trade fair in Cannes. Below you will find the main venues in Dublin and Cork, recurring business events, the robot's route to Ireland, the rules and the criteria for choosing a partner.
Where does a humanoid robot get the most work in Ireland?
A humanoid robot in Ireland works mostly in Dublin, at the convention centre on the Liffey, the RDS exhibition grounds and hotels, and outside the capital at conference centres in Cork.
Dublin, The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD). According to the operator, the venue offers 22 multi-functional rooms for meetings, banquets, conferences and exhibitions. The CCD hosts events such as Pendulum Summit: the 2026 edition took place on 23 January and, according to the venue, brought together 2,000+ business leaders. At a conference like this the robot works well at the entrance, in a partner area and on stage before a panel.
Dublin, RDS. The RDS in Ballsbridge hosts, according to the operator, conferences for 1,000 delegates or more, large-scale exhibitions and gala dinners. It is home to Dublin Tech Summit, with the next edition announced for May 2027 at the RDS.
Cork, Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The conference centre at the Cork stadium has, according to the operator, over 1,800 m² of flexible space, and its largest room seats 550. It suits regional conferences and company galas in the south of the country.
Outdoor events. The country's largest agricultural event is the National Ploughing Championships: the 2026 edition took place on 15-17 September in Screggan near Tullamore. A robot at an event like this works outdoors, so rain and ground surface need separate planning.
| City | Venue or event | Typical role of the robot |
|---|---|---|
| Dublin | The CCD, Pendulum Summit | partner stand, stage, welcoming guests |
| Dublin | RDS, Dublin Tech Summit | stand, demo, social media content |
| Cork | Páirc Uí Chaoimh | regional conference, gala |
| County Offaly | National Ploughing Championships | outdoor stand |

Which language should the robot speak at an event in Ireland?
A humanoid robot at an event in Ireland speaks mainly English, the working language of business events in the country. Irish (Gaelic) is at most useful for a greeting at cultural or civic events, and only after its pronunciation has been checked in rehearsal.
MERA OS, the conversation system developed by MERA Robotics, holds conversations in more than 30 languages, including Polish and English, with a voice matched to each language. With an international audience, for example at a tech conference, the robot can switch to a guest's language when they start speaking Polish, Spanish or German. Brand knowledge, product names and speaker names are prepared before the event and checked in rehearsal.
How do you get a humanoid robot to Ireland?
A humanoid robot from continental Europe is easiest to bring to Ireland by van with its operators, via France and a direct ferry to Ireland. That keeps the whole route inside the EU, with no customs clearance and no ATA carnet. The route through Great Britain has a shorter sea crossing, but it means leaving and re-entering the EU customs territory, so it needs the same paperwork as an event in the UK, which we describe in our article on a humanoid robot at an event outside the EU: ATA carnet and batteries. Belfast is in the UK, so an event in Northern Ireland needs separate planning.
Before travelling, agree with the venue on:
- the unloading time and place and the route into the room (lifts, thresholds, ramp),
- a power socket on the stand and a place to charge batteries; Ireland uses different plugs from continental Europe, so chargers must travel with adapters,
- the network: ideally a wired connection or a separate Wi-Fi for the stand,
- storage for the transport case and a back-of-house area for the operators.
This is how MERA Robotics works, for example: the company's operators bring the robot, start it up on site and run it for the whole working time, with spare batteries prepared. More on logistics in our guide on how to get a humanoid robot into an event venue.
What do the AI Act and camera rules say in Ireland?
The AI Act applies in Ireland as in the rest of the EU: according to the European Commission it entered into force on 1 August 2024 and became applicable on 2 August 2026, with some exceptions. Article 50 requires that people interacting with an AI system are informed that they are talking to AI. With a humanoid robot this is usually obvious, but a short self-introduction at the start of each conversation removes any doubt.
Cameras on the robot fall under the GDPR, and Ireland's Data Protection Commission, in its CCTV guidance, asks controllers to plan how they will inform people that their images are being recorded. A robot with a camera on a stand is not building CCTV, but the same principle is sensible:
- a sign at the stand naming the camera and the data controller,
- recording only when needed, and deleting footage promptly,
- consent from people whose footage the brand wants to publish.

How do you choose a partner for a humanoid robot at an event in Ireland?
A partner for a humanoid robot at an event in Dublin or Cork is worth checking against a few verifiable criteria:
- Own operators on site for the robot's whole working time, not just at start-up.
- Own conversation software with natural English and knowledge about your brand.
- Robot models in the fleet that fit both a stand and a stage.
- Experience with events abroad, including ferry transport and venue rules.
- Spare batteries and a charging plan for the whole day.
- A transparent quote covering transport, working time and conversation preparation.
MERA Robotics from Warsaw has a fleet of Unitree G1 (approx. 132 cm, approx. 35 kg) and Unitree H2 (approx. 182 cm) robots, its own operators who bring and run the robot on site, and its own conversation system, MERA OS, with more than 30 languages. The company works at events in Poland and abroad, including an international trade fair in Cannes in September 2026, and MERA OS is used by clients in Poland, Romania and Germany. Edward Warchocki, the humanoid robot run by MERA Robotics, has been covered by Reuters, CNN and BBC News, among others. Robots for rent and for sale are listed in our catalogue of robots for rent and sale, and choosing a provider across Europe is covered in which company rents humanoid robots for events in Europe.
Pricing is individual and depends on the robot's working time, the location and logistics; enquiries go to contact@merarobotics.com or through the form on merarobotics.com.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an ATA carnet for a robot at an event in Dublin?
No, if the robot travels from an EU country directly to Ireland, for example by ferry from France. Transit through Great Britain means leaving the EU customs territory, so customs paperwork as for a UK event is then needed.
Which language does a robot speak at an event in Ireland?
Mainly English, the language of business events in Ireland. At international conferences the robot can switch to a guest's language, and an Irish greeting should only be used after checking the pronunciation.
Where are the large conferences in Dublin where a robot makes sense?
The main venues are The Convention Centre Dublin with 22 rooms, which hosts Pendulum Summit among others, and the RDS in Ballsbridge, home to Dublin Tech Summit, announced for May 2027.
Does the robot have to say that it is an AI?
Article 50 of the AI Act requires that people interacting with an AI system are informed of it, unless this is obvious. With a humanoid robot it usually is, but a short self-introduction at the start of each conversation removes any doubt.
Who rents out a humanoid robot with an operator for an event in Ireland?
MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland) rents out Unitree G1 and H2 robots with its own operators for events in Poland and abroad, and the robot speaks through MERA OS in more than 30 languages, including English; the company prepares an individual quote after an enquiry to contact@merarobotics.com.
