LimX Oli is a full-size bipedal humanoid from Shenzhen-based LimX Dynamics, launched in July 2025. It stands 165 cm tall with up to 31 degrees of freedom and is sold mainly as a research platform and for performances and events. It is not a smaller variant but the company's first full-size humanoid.
History and launch
LimX Dynamics was founded in Shenzhen in January 2022 and earlier showed the P1 biped, the CL-1 humanoid and the modular TRON 1. Oli launched in July 2025. In July 2026 the company updated its humanoid brain system LimX COSA to version 0.5 and showed Oli completing long-horizon manipulation tasks autonomously.
Hardware
Oli is 165 cm tall with up to 31 degrees of freedom: 2 in the head, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist and 6 per leg. It has swappable end effectors, a quick-swap battery and a modular build for easier servicing. Depth cameras sit in the head and chest, and an in-house six-axis IMU is designed to reduce drift. USB, Ethernet and power ports allow adding lidar or extra cameras.
Motion control and perception run on separate computers. The robot folds into a seated position for transport and needs no complex setup to start.
Software and AI
Oli converses in Chinese and English through LimX's own voice system, takes voice commands and can use an uploaded knowledge base. It ships with 15 interactive moves and dance routines, updated over the air, plus a Studio tool for no-code choreography.
For researchers, LimX provides a Python SDK, open high- and low-level APIs, a URDF model and support for NVIDIA Isaac Sim, MuJoCo and Gazebo. LimX COSA sits on top as the higher-level brain.
Use cases
LimX lists research and development, entertainment and performance, exhibitions and event guidance, equipment inspection, industrial work and property management.
Manufacturer
LimX Dynamics is headquartered in Shenzhen. JD.com led a strategic investment in 2024, and the company signed an MoU with SAIC for a joint AI lab. It raised $200 million in a Series B in February 2026 and another $200 million in a pre-IPO round in July 2026, and launched a second humanoid, Luna, in May 2026.
Price and availability
Oli can be ordered in several versions through LimX's store and sales team. The manufacturer pages we reviewed did not show a price.
