Tien Kung 3.0 (TianGong 3.0) is a full-size humanoid from the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center (X-Humanoid), launched on February 10, 2026. It is an open general-purpose platform for universities, institutes and companies that want to build their own applications on it. It stands 170 cm, weighs 64.5 kg and has 43 degrees of freedom.
History and launch
X-Humanoid was founded in November 2023 in Beijing's Yizhuang (E-Town) development zone. It introduced the first Tien Kung in 2024 as a base humanoid platform, followed by versions including 1.2 and 2.0.
Tien Kung 3.0 launched on February 10, 2026 under the slogan more open, easier to use. X-Humanoid calls it the first full-size humanoid with contact-interactive, whole-body high-dynamic motion control. In April 2026 it won a fully autonomous robot warrior challenge and a Best Design award at the Beijing humanoid half-marathon.
Design and hardware
The robot is 1.70 m tall, weighs 64.5 kg and has 43 DoF. A P-R-Y hip layout allows a full squat, and the waist has three serial DoF. Magnesium alloy and carbon fiber are used for head, foot and body shells, with high-strength aluminium for the exoskeleton and chest.
Integrated joints reach 400 Nm and the battery can deliver 240 A bursts, enabling box jumps, side flips and spins, clearing obstacles of about 1 m and, per X-Humanoid, running a full half-marathon (21.1 km). It survives falls and gets up on its own.
A Mid-360 LiDAR sits in the head, with six optional surround cameras for 360° vision. Wrist ports (CAN, RS485) take hands and force sensors, and the body offers RJ45, USB 3.2, DP, GPS/RTK and 48 V/10 A power for peripherals.
Software and AI
It runs with X-Humanoid's Huisi Kaiwu embodied AI platform, designed as one brain for many tasks and robot types. X-Humanoid supplies documentation, toolchains and a low-code platform, with ROS 2, MQTT and TCP/IP support.
The center has open-sourced the Tien Kung design, the Tien Kung-Lab motion-control framework, VLM and VLA models, the RoboMIND dataset and ArtVIP simulation assets.
Use cases
X-Humanoid shows Tien Kung guiding visitors in showrooms, sorting industrial parts, operating electrical control cabinets and carrying totes. A Reuters report quoted on X-Humanoid's site says another of its robots, Tianyi 2.0, is trialing box handling at the Foton Cummins engine plant in Beijing.
Company
Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. (X-Humanoid) is based in Beijing E-Town. It develops hardware, motion-control software and AI for the wider industry while commercializing its own robots, with customers among universities, research institutes and industrial firms. Its faster Tien Kung Ultra ran 100 m in 8.64 s at the World Humanoid Robot Games in August 2026.
Price and availability
X-Humanoid does not publish a Tien Kung 3.0 price; it sells through its sales team and channel partners.
