R1 is an earlier humanoid model from Robbyant (蚂蚁灵波科技), Ant Group's embodied AI company. Robbyant's website now presents its successor, R2, a two-armed humanoid on a wheeled base. We could not find R1's technical details in official sources.
What is known about R1
Robbyant's current website no longer has an R1 product page; R2 is the only robot listed. We could not confirm R1 specifications from the manufacturer. The catalog description of R1 with insect- or quadruped-inspired legs is not supported by any source we found: the robots Robbyant presents today are wheeled.
Successor: R2
R2 weighs under 120 kg, has two arms rated for 6 kg each with six-axis force sensing at the end effectors, and reaches shelves from floor level to 2 m. It drives on a compact chassis with omnidirectional steering wheels, has dual swappable batteries for about four hours of work and optional dock charging. Joints provide torque feedback and core joint brakes lock on emergency stop. It is aimed at indoor tasks such as shelf handling.
Software and AI
Robbyant describes its goal as "one brain for all robots" and develops the LingBot model family: vision, depth (LingBot-Depth), 3D mapping, VLA, video-action and world models. Some are published on GitHub, Hugging Face and ModelScope, and LingBot-Depth is licensed commercially; with Orbbec it is co-developing a depth camera based on that model.
Manufacturer
Robbyant (Shanghai) is an Ant Group subsidiary focused on embodied AI. It names home services, elderly care and medical assistance as target uses and works with hardware and solution partners on deployments.
