TM Xplore I is a humanoid from Taiwan's Techman Robot, a maker of cobots with built-in vision. It pairs a humanoid upper body with a wheeled mobile base and runs on an NVIDIA Jetson Thor module. It debuted at NVIDIA GTC in March 2026.
History and launch
Techman Robot unveiled TM Xplore I at NVIDIA GTC 2026 (press release dated 18 March 2026) alongside its new "See · Think · Act" brand strategy. It was developed with Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) and NVIDIA. At the booth it took orders from visitors and delivered coasters to them.
Design and technology
TM Xplore I has a humanoid torso and arms on a wheeled base, which Techman says provides high stability and dexterous manipulation. Onboard compute is an NVIDIA Jetson Thor module. Techman has not published dimensions, weight, degrees of freedom or payload.
Software and AI
The robot runs a vision-language-action (VLA) model with multi-sensor fusion and autonomous navigation. Motion paths are validated in NVIDIA Isaac Sim digital twins, depth perception uses NVIDIA FoundationStereo, and dexterity training draws on NVIDIA Isaac GR00T.
Under Techman's "Dual AI Engines" strategy the humanoid and its TM AI Cobots share one intelligence layer, so skills developed on the humanoid can gradually move to cobots already on production lines.
Applications and deployments
Techman targets high-precision work in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics assembly and automotive production. In August 2026, during Automation Taipei, it hosted a VLA workshop with NVIDIA for six Taiwanese universities including NTU, NYCU and NTHU, using TM Xplore I as a research platform. No commercial deployments have been announced.
Manufacturer
Techman Robot is based in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (4585.TW). It is known for cobots with built-in cameras and AI vision. Scott Huang is chief operating officer.
