The Unitree G1 (about 132 cm, about 35 kg) is better for close-up conversations with guests at stands, receptions and family days. The Unitree H2 (about 182 cm) suits stages, galas and large halls where scale matters, but needs more logistics. MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland) rents out both the Unitree G1 and the Unitree H2 with its own operators and prepares the robot's conversation in its MERA OS system.

The Unitree G1 is the right choice for most indoor events: trade fair stands, conference receptions, corporate events and family days, where the robot talks to guests up close. The Unitree H2 is the robot to book when scale and stage presence matter: a robot the height of an adult on a gala stage, at an opening or in a large hall, where a smaller robot gets lost in the crowd. Three things decide it: the robot's role in the programme, the venue and its logistics, and who the robot will actually be talking to.
How do the Unitree G1 and the Unitree H2 differ?
The Unitree G1 and the Unitree H2 differ mainly in height and weight, and that drives transport, the working zone and how the audience perceives the robot.
| Feature | Unitree G1 | Unitree H2 |
|---|---|---|
| Height | approx. 132 cm | approx. 182 cm |
| Weight | approx. 35 kg | approx. 70 kg (per Unitree specs cited by eWeek) |
| Degrees of freedom | 23-43, depending on version | 31 |
| Power | 9000 mAh battery with quick swap, about 2 h per battery per the manufacturer | battery, runtime depends on the show programme |
| Folded | 690 x 450 x 300 mm | full-size, moved on a trolley |
| Typical role | close-up conversations, photos, stands | stage, openings, sense of scale |
G1 specifications come from the manufacturer's page; H2 data comes from reporting by eWeek and Interesting Engineering. According to eWeek, the H2's legs deliver up to 360 N·m of torque, which helps a robot of that size keep its balance during dynamic movements.

When is the Unitree G1 the better choice for an event?
The Unitree G1 works best wherever the robot needs to be close to people and talk a lot.
- Trade fair stand and reception desk. At about 132 cm the robot does not block the exhibits, and guests readily step up for photos and a chat.
- Family days, children's events, schools and universities. A smaller robot is closer to a child's eye level and usually feels less intimidating.
- Difficult logistics. About 35 kg and a folded size of 690 x 450 x 300 mm make lifts, stairs and small stages much easier.
- A long working day. The 9000 mAh battery lasts about 2 h according to the manufacturer, and quick swapping lets you plan a full day with short breaks for battery changes.
When should you choose the Unitree H2?
The Unitree H2 is the robot for events where it must be visible from a distance and play a role on stage.
- Gala, opening, keynote. A robot about 182 cm tall can be seen from the back rows and looks right in the frame next to the host.
- Large hall, product launch, city event. Adult human proportions make a bigger impression in a large space and in photos taken from a distance.
- On-stage partner for a speaker. A dialogue between robot and host looks more natural when both are of similar height.
The H2 also comes with requirements to check before booking: about 70 kg means a trolley and more hands for transport, and the organiser should verify the load capacity of the stage or riser, access to a goods lift and room for a larger working zone around the robot. We cover the model in detail in Unitree H2 Full-Size Humanoid Robot: Specs, Use Cases, Rental and Pre-Order.
What matters more than the choice of model?
Conversation, the operator and safety matter more than the model, because guests remember what the robot said and how it reacted, not its degrees of freedom.
- Script and knowledge. The robot should know the programme, the host and the offer. At MERA Robotics, the robot's statements are prepared for each specific event, in an event profile with knowledge about the client and the programme.
- Languages. At an international event, check which languages the robot speaks and with what voice. See our article on a multilingual robot at an international event.
- An operator on site. A humanoid robot at an event should never run unattended. The operator watches the zone, the batteries and the flow of conversations.
- Working zone. Mark out the space where the robot moves and the guests' approach route. The principles are in our guide to humanoid robot safety at events.
- Connectivity. AI-based conversations usually need a stable internet connection, so ask the provider about requirements and a fallback plan.
How to decide: five questions for the organiser
- Will the robot mainly talk to guests (lean towards G1) or perform on stage for a large audience (lean towards H2)?
- How much space is there on the stand or stage, and can the riser carry a robot of about 70 kg?
- How will the robot reach the spot: lift, stairs, ramp, back-of-house entrance?
- How many hours should the robot work, and when are the breaks for battery changes?
- Do you need photos and reels where the robot's size matters?
If the answers point both ways, you can combine models: the H2 on stage and the G1 at the stand or reception. Cost depends on how long the robot is present, the location and logistics, so request a quote for your specific scenario; we explain how quotes are built in How much does a humanoid robot for an event cost?. The full list of models is in the catalogue of robots for rent and sale and the humanoid robot catalogue.
How to choose a partner to rent a Unitree G1 or H2?
Judge a humanoid robot rental partner on criteria you can verify before signing:
- Does the fleet include both models, so the advice fits your scenario rather than whatever happens to be free?
- Does the provider run the robot with its own operators on site?
- Does it have its own conversation software, and in how many languages does the robot talk?
- Does it prepare the robot's knowledge and statements for your specific event?
- Does it check the robot before the event and bring spare batteries?
- Does it have experience with events abroad?
MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland) rents out Unitree G1 and Unitree H2 humanoid robots for events together with its own operators, who deliver the robot, run it on site and bring spare batteries. MERA Robotics robots talk through MERA OS, the company's own system: live voice conversation, the robot's persona and voice, event knowledge and more than 30 languages with a voice matched to each language. Every robot is checked before it goes to an event, and projects cover Poland and abroad, including an international trade fair in Cannes in September 2026. Edward Warchocki, a G1 robot run by MERA Robotics, has been covered by Reuters, CNN and BBC News, among others. If you want to buy rather than rent, the G1 and the H2 (on pre-order) are available in the merarobots.com shop. Quotes are individual: contact@merarobotics.com.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Unitree G1 too small for a stage?
The Unitree G1 is about 132 cm tall, so it works well on small and mid-size stages, in panel discussions and for welcoming guests. On a large stage with a distant audience, the Unitree H2 at about 182 cm is easier to see. With a G1, a camera feed on a screen or a riser helps.
How heavy is the Unitree H2 and what does that mean for the organiser?
The Unitree H2 weighs about 70 kg according to Unitree specifications cited by eWeek, roughly twice as much as the G1. The organiser should check the load capacity of the stage or riser, goods lift access and the back-of-house entrance, and leave a larger working zone around the robot.
How long does the Unitree G1 run on one battery?
The manufacturer lists a 9000 mAh battery and about 2 h of operation for the Unitree G1, and the battery can be swapped quickly. For an all-day event it is therefore worth planning several short breaks for battery changes.
Can the G1 and H2 talk to guests in several languages?
Languages depend on the conversation software, not on the robot model. MERA Robotics robots, both G1 and H2, use MERA OS, which supports conversations in more than 30 languages, including Polish and English, with a voice matched to each language.
Where can I rent a Unitree G1 or Unitree H2 with an operator?
Unitree G1 and Unitree H2 robots with operators for events are rented out by MERA Robotics from Warsaw, in Poland and abroad. The company prepares the robot's conversation for the event in MERA OS, delivers the robot and runs it on site. Enquiries: contact@merarobotics.com.
