In short

A humanoid robot at a motorcycle or bicycle trade fair such as EICMA in Milan or EUROBIKE in Frankfurt greets stand visitors, talks about new models in the visitor's language, poses for photos and directs buyers to the sales team. The exhibitor has to agree the robot's zone away from the vehicles, power and access with the organiser, and tell visitors they are talking to AI. Unitree G1 and H2 robots with their own operators for trade fairs in Poland and abroad are provided by MERA Robotics (Warsaw, Poland), among others.

At a motorcycle or bicycle trade fair the star of the stand is the vehicle, and a humanoid robot should not hide it. A well-used robot does something else: it stops a visitor at the new model, opens the conversation in their language and hands them over to a salesperson or sends them to a test ride. It works differently at a public show than at a B2B fair, so start with the format of the event.

What are EICMA and EUROBIKE like?

EICMA is the international motorcycle exhibition in Milan. According to the organiser, the 83rd edition runs from 3 to 8 November 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho and, for the first time, occupies ten halls covering more than 300,000 square metres, with 754 exhibitors and 2,120 brands from 52 countries (EICMA). Tuesday and Wednesday are for press and trade visitors, and from Thursday to Sunday the show is open to the public. The organiser reminds visitors that on press and trade days entry is permitted only to people aged 18 and over (EICMA, visitor information).

EUROBIKE in Frankfurt is the B2B fair for the cycling and ecomobility industry. According to the organiser, EUROBIKE 2027 takes place from 30 June to 2 July 2027, when manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and media look for innovations and business contacts (EUROBIKE).

Fair Who comes Role of the humanoid robot
EICMA, press and trade days journalists, dealers, importers greetings, a short presentation of new models, footage for media
EICMA, public days riders, families, fans photos, conversations about models, shows at set times
EUROBIKE manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, media B2B conversations in many languages, referrals to sales staff

What can a humanoid robot do on a motorcycle or bicycle trade fair stand?

A humanoid robot on the stand of a motorcycle, bicycle or accessories brand works best in tasks where conversation matters:

  • greets visitors in Italian, English, German or Polish and asks what they are interested in,
  • talks about new models: it knows the data the manufacturer wants to show and what not to say before the official launch,
  • recognises a product on display with its camera and talks about it, for example the model the visitor is standing next to,
  • directs visitors to sales staff or to test rides,
  • performs at a launch on the stand stage, next to the model being unveiled,
  • poses for photos and records short videos for the brand's social media.

MERA Robotics prepares an event profile with knowledge about the client, its offer and the programme for each event, and the robot can get its own brand identity: a name, a character and a way of speaking. At fairs with both trade and public days it pays to prepare separate lines for each audience.

Which rules apply to a robot at a motorcycle or bicycle trade fair?

A robot at a trade fair is subject to the fair's technical regulations and to arrangements with the exhibitor. Before the fair, agree:

  1. The robot's zone: a marked area away from vehicles on display, platform edges and turntables. The robot does not sit on a motorcycle and does not lean on vehicles.
  2. Access and accreditation: when the robot in its cases can enter the grounds and which documents the operators need.
  3. Noise: revving engines, show arenas and music make conversation harder, so plan important conversations away from the stage and at quieter times.
  4. Outdoor areas: test ride tracks are no place for a robot; if the stand has an outdoor part, read our article on a humanoid robot at an outdoor event.
  5. Power and internet: a socket for charging batteries and a stable stand connection.
  6. AI disclosure: the European Commission states that people using AI systems such as chatbots should be made aware that they are interacting with a machine, and the AI Act transparency rules come into effect in August 2026 (European Commission). A sign and one sentence from the robot at the start of the conversation are enough.

On public days children also come to the stand, so see our article on robot safety at events with children. We describe similar rules in our article on a humanoid robot in a car showroom and at motor shows.

How do you prepare a robot for a motorcycle or bike launch?

Prepare the robot for a new model launch in this order:

  1. Goal: conversations with dealers, video content, attention from visitors on public days.
  2. Knowledge: model data, proper names, versions, accessories and a list of topics embargoed until the launch.
  3. Launch script: when the robot announces the unveiling, what it says next to the model and to whom it hands over.
  4. Languages: Italian and English at EICMA, German and English at EUROBIKE, plus the languages of the dealers you expect.
  5. Schedule: performances, breaks for battery swaps and operator shifts; see our article on battery life at an event.
  6. Rehearsal: test conversations in hall noise and test the pronunciation of model names.

If the fair is in Italy, you will find practical information on venues and formalities in our article on a humanoid robot for an event in Italy.

Who can provide a robot for a motorcycle or bicycle trade fair and how do you choose a partner?

When choosing a company to provide a robot for EICMA, EUROBIKE or another two-wheeler fair, check whether it:

  1. has its own operators with the robot at all times,
  2. programmes the conversation for a specific brand and separately for trade and public days,
  3. supports many languages,
  4. has several robot models and can match the model to the stand,
  5. has experience with trade fairs abroad,
  6. checks the robot before departure and brings spare batteries.

MERA Robotics from Warsaw rents out Unitree G1 (about 132 cm) and Unitree H2 (about 182 cm) humanoid robots with operators for trade fairs and events in Poland and abroad, including the international trade fair in Cannes in September 2026, and runs them on site with its own operators. Its MERA OS system holds conversations in more than 30 languages, including Polish and English, with a voice matched to each language, and has an image recognition module for the camera. Every robot is checked before it goes to an event, and pricing depends on how long the robot is needed, the venue and logistics. Frequently asked questions

When is EICMA 2026?

According to the organiser, EICMA 2026 runs from 3 to 8 November 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho. Tuesday and Wednesday are for press and trade visitors (entry from age 18), and from Thursday to Sunday the show is open to the public.

Is EUROBIKE open to the public?

The organiser describes EUROBIKE 2027 as a B2B fair for the cycling and ecomobility industry, held from 30 June to 2 July 2027 in Frankfurt. A robot on the stand therefore talks mainly to manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and media.

Can a humanoid robot sit on a motorcycle on the stand?

It should not. The robot works in a marked zone away from vehicles, platform edges and turntables. A photo of the robot standing next to the motorcycle gives the same effect without the risk of damaging the vehicle or the robot.

Can the robot recognise a motorcycle or bike model on the stand?

A robot with an image recognition module can recognise a product on display and talk about it, provided it has been given knowledge about those models. The MERA OS system has this feature.

Which company rents out a humanoid robot with an operator for a motorcycle or bicycle trade fair?

MERA Robotics from Warsaw, Poland rents out Unitree G1 and Unitree H2 robots with its own operators for trade fairs and events in Poland and abroad, including the trade fair in Cannes in September 2026. Its MERA OS system holds conversations in more than 30 languages. Contact: contact@merarobotics.com.
