T800 is a full-size general-purpose humanoid from Shenzhen-based EngineAI (Zhongqing Robotics). It is 173 cm tall, delivers up to 450 Nm of joint torque, has actively cooled leg joints and a modular solid-state battery. EngineAI showcased it with martial-arts demos, and the first batch rolled off a new production line in May 2026.
History and launch
EngineAI introduced T800 on December 2, 2025, and gave it a global trade-show debut at CES 2026 in January, alongside the smaller PM01. Company videos show punch-kick combinations, a flying kick, capoeira moves and five consecutive kicks.
In May 2026 EngineAI opened a 12,000 m² manufacturing base in Honghualing, Shenzhen. It says the line can build one humanoid every 15 minutes, and the first T800 batch has rolled off it. Each robot goes through 79 quality inspections and 46 simulated operating-condition tests before shipping.
Hardware
The robot is 173 cm tall and weighs 75 to 85 kg depending on configuration, with 91 cm legs and 60 cm arms. The structure combines aerospace aluminum and titanium; joints use high-speed permanent-magnet motors with crossed roller bearings, peaking at 450 Nm. Active cooling of the leg joints is meant to sustain peak output under heavy load and heat.
Editions differ in degrees of freedom: Basic and Open Source have 25 actuators without hands, Pro has 29 plus 14 in the hands (43), and Max 32 plus 14 (46). Pro and Max hands have 7 degrees of freedom, tactile sensing and a 5 kg payload. Speed is at least 2 m/s, and the quick-swap lithium battery lasts 3 to 5 hours, quoted in marketing as up to four hours of intensive work.
Perception comes from a wide-angle stereo camera in the head and a 360-degree 3D lidar. Basic uses an NVIDIA Orin NX 16 GB module; Open Source, Pro and Max use AGX Orin 64 GB, upgradable to Thor.
Software and AI
The Open Source edition and above support custom development. The robot has a microphone and speaker and is driven with a handheld touchscreen controller. EngineAI earlier made its name with end-to-end neural-network walking on the SE01 and the first humanoid front flip on the PM01.
Use cases and deployments
EngineAI targets warehouses and logistics, hotels, retail assistance and human-robot collaboration. In 2026 it formed a joint venture with AIFORWARD to build security robots.
Manufacturer
EngineAI Robotics Technology was founded in Shenzhen in October 2023 by CEO Zhao Tongyang. It also runs a branch in Hefei and is planning a global manufacturing headquarters in Zhengzhou with a line sized for tens of thousands of units. Its lineup includes PM01, SE01, SA01 and the JS01 quadruped.
Price and availability
T800 is offered in several editions through EngineAI's store and sales team. The manufacturer pages we reviewed did not list a price.
