ROBAN 2 (Roban2) is a mid-size bipedal humanoid from China's Leju Robotics, built for education and for research on AI and embodied intelligence. It sits between Leju's small Aelos education robots and its full-size KUAVO line.
Design and purpose
Leju lists ROBAN among its small and medium bipedal humanoids. It is aimed at universities, schools and labs as a platform for teaching programming, gait control and machine learning.
Leju's dynamically loaded website does not expose an easily verifiable spec sheet, and industry listings disagree on degrees of freedom and configurations, so we do not repeat those figures here.
Applications and deployments
Leju's IPO prospectus shows 91 ROBAN robots and 3,988 small Aelos robots sold in 2025. Together the education lines brought in about 39.45 million yuan, up 47.35% year on year, a small share of the company's 258 million yuan revenue.
Manufacturer
Leju (Shenzhen) Robotics was founded in 2016 by Harbin Institute of Technology alumni and is chaired by Leng Xiaokun. It began with Aelos education robots before adding ROBAN and the full-size KUAVO series. It raised about 1.5 billion yuan in October 2025 and applied to list on Shenzhen's ChiNext board in May 2026.
