AgiBot X1 (Lingxi X1) is a small modular humanoid from Shanghai's AgiBot, released as an open platform with published control software, training code and docs. It stands 130 cm, weighs 33 kg and is aimed at developers, universities and labs rather than industrial work.
History and launch
AgiBot introduced the X series alongside the full-size A2 humanoid in August 2024. X1 was pitched as a fully open robot: the company put inference, driver and simulation software and locomotion training code on GitHub.
The series later added the X2, a smaller, more agile humanoid for retail and entertainment.
Design and hardware
AgiBot lists a height of 130 cm, 33 kg, a top walking speed of 1 m/s and about 2 hours of runtime. Each arm carries just 0.5 kg. The English product page says 34 active DoF; the Chinese page says 31.
It is built from AgiBot's PowerFlow joint modules, which the company documents publicly: the R86-3 weighs 1.28 kg with 200 Nm peak and 60 Nm rated torque at 48 V, and the R86-2 weighs 0.81 kg with up to 80 Nm. They integrate FOC drives, hollow wiring and multi-turn absolute encoders.
Software and AI
The middleware is AgiBot's open-source AimRT framework. Walking uses a reinforcement-learning policy trained in NVIDIA Isaac Gym, exported to JIT and ONNX and run on the robot with ONNX Runtime; ROS 2 Humble simulation is included.
That makes X1 a platform for training and testing locomotion algorithms, and the training code can be adapted to other robots.
Use cases
X1 is a research and education platform. Its tiny arm payload and short runtime rule out industrial work, for which AgiBot sells the A2, G1 and G2. Catalog descriptions of X1 as an industrial humanoid with an 80 kg payload do not match the manufacturer's data.
Company
AgiBot Innovation (Shanghai) Technology was founded in February 2023 and has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. It says it led global humanoid shipments in 2025, rolled out its 10,000th robot in March 2026 and its 15,000th in June 2026. It also develops the GO-1 foundation model, the open AgiBot World dataset and the Link-U OS.
Price and availability
AgiBot does not list an X1 price on its website; orders go through sales.

Data and provenance for AI agents ↗Compared with the catalogue
- At 130 cm the AgiBot X1 is taller than 4% of the humanoids in the catalogue (median: 170 cm).
- It has 34 degrees of freedom against a catalogue median of 28; more degrees of freedom usually means finer arm and hand movement.
- Its weight of 33 kg (catalogue median: 65 kg) matters for transport and for working around people.
- It is one of 10 AgiBot models in the catalogue and one of 128 humanoids from China.
