The Unitree H1-2 is a full-size bipedal humanoid from China's Unitree Robotics and an evolution of the H1. It adds longer 7-DoF arms, an extra ankle joint and support for dexterous hands, making it better suited to manipulation, but it is much heavier than the H1 and walks more slowly.

History and launch

The H1 was Unitree's first full-size humanoid and, by the company's account, the first in China that could run; the product page lists 3.3 m/s and calls it a world record. In January 2025 H1 robots performed at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, when Unitree described the model as one and a half years old.

The H1-2 is sold alongside the H1 as a variant of the same family (the H1 / H1-2 page). Unitree's materials give no separate launch date for it.

Design and hardware

The H1-2 is about 178 cm tall and weighs about 70 kg (H1: about 180 cm and 47 kg). It has 27 DoF: 6 per leg (hip 3, knee 1, ankle 2), 7 per arm (shoulder 3, elbow 1, wrist 3) plus a waist joint. The H1 had 5 per leg and 4 per arm.

Joints use low-inertia internal-rotor PMSMs with crossed roller bearings: about 360 Nm at the knee, 220 Nm at hip and waist, and 120 Nm at shoulder and elbow. Each arm carries about 7 kg rated and 21 kg peak. Peak torque density is 189 Nm/kg.

The quick-swap battery holds 15 Ah (0.864 kWh). A 3D LiDAR and depth camera give 360° perception. Movement speed is under 2 m/s, slower than the H1.

Software and AI

Standard compute is an Intel Core i5 for platform functions and an Intel Core i7 for user development, with up to three extra modules such as Intel Core i7 or NVIDIA Orin NX. Software updates arrive over the air, and dexterous hands such as the Unitree Dex5-1 are optional.

Use cases

The H1-2 is aimed mainly at research labs, universities and companies building humanoid software. Unitree warns that the humanoid industry is at an early stage and buyers should understand the limitations.

Company

Unitree Robotics (Hangzhou Yushu Technology) was founded by Wang Xingxing in August 2016 in Hangzhou. It makes quadrupeds (Go2, B2, A2) and humanoids (R1, G1, H1, H2), and filed for a Shanghai Stock Exchange listing in March 2026.

Price and availability

Unitree does not list an H1-2 price on its product page; it is sold through sales and distributors.
