Booster T2 is the flagship development platform from Beijing-based Booster Robotics for embodied AI teams. The bipedal humanoid stands about 140 cm, weighs about 42 kg, has 31 degrees of freedom, walks at up to 3 m/s and manages about 2 hours of continuous walking. It debuted on 10 July 2026 at WAIC in Shanghai.
History and launch
Booster Robotics was founded in June 2023. Its first widely known model, the T1, debuted in August 2024 and became a popular robot soccer platform: Booster-powered teams took the top two places in both AdultSize and KidSize at RoboCup 2025, and at RoboCup 2026 won gold in every bipedal humanoid division. The smaller K1 followed in October 2025.
T2 was launched on 10 July 2026 at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference as a larger flagship platform for developers.
Design and technology
Booster lists about 140 cm and about 42 kg. The 31 DoF break down as 6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist and 2 in the head. Joints use high-speed internal-rotor PMSM motors with industrial crossed roller bearings, peaking at 140 N·m. The two arms together lift up to 10 kg, depending heavily on posture.
Stereo cameras sit in the head and waist, with optional wrist cameras, a microphone array and speaker, and optional lidar. A 48 V, 10 Ah battery gives about 2 hours of continuous walking and charges through a magnetic port. Dexterous hands or grippers can be fitted.
Software and AI
T2 comes in two editions: Education with a high-performance ARM processor and Professional with an NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000, which Booster says delivers 2,070 TFLOPS on board. It works with Booster Studio (released June 2026), an IDE covering agent development, simulation, debugging and deployment to the physical robot, plus the Booster app and agent store.
Manufacturer
Booster Robotics Technology is based in Beijing. Founder and CEO Cheng Hao studied at Tsinghua University, and the core team comes from Tsinghua's robot control lab and its Hephaestus RoboCup team. The company raised a pre-A round (September 2024), Series A and A+ (2025) and nearly 150 million dollars in April 2026. By November 2025 it had delivered more than 700 humanoids to over 200 customers, more than half abroad, and in December 2025 it reached positive monthly operating cash flow for the first time.
