Unitree H2 is a full-size humanoid from Unitree Robotics, introduced in 2025 as the successor to the H1. It stands 182 cm, weighs about 70 kg and has 31 degrees of freedom. Unitree lists the standard version at $29,900; the EDU version for custom development is quoted individually.
History and launch
The H2 joined Unitree's line-up in 2025 alongside the smaller R1 and the A2 quadruped. Unitree launched it under the tagline "Destiny Awakening", stressing the streamlined design of the roughly 180 cm robot.
Hardware
Unitree's spec table lists 1820 x 456 x 218 mm and about 70 kg with battery. There are 31 DoF: 6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 at the waist and 2 in the head. Dexterous hands are optional in several models.
Peak joint torque is 360 Nm in the legs and 120 Nm in the arms. Arm payload is about 7 kg rated and about 15 kg peak. Thigh plus calf length is 1045 mm and the arm is 690 mm long. The structure combines aircraft-grade aluminium, titanium alloy and engineering plastics.
A quick-release 15 Ah (0.972 kWh) battery gives about three hours. Standard compute is two PCs, an Intel Core i5 for platform functions and an i7 for custom development, with an optional high-power module such as NVIDIA Thor; Unitree mentions a 2070 TOPS chip.
Software and AI
Unitree pitches the H2 as a platform for running a range of AI models and for precise motion replication, with control algorithms updated over the air. The EDU version allows custom software development and carries a 12-month warranty (8 months for the standard version).
Use cases and deployments
Like Unitree's other humanoids, the H2 is aimed mainly at research, AI development, demos and pilot projects. Unitree itself warns on the product page that the humanoid industry is at an early stage and that individual buyers should understand the robots' limitations before purchasing. No sales figures for the H2 are public.
Manufacturer
Unitree Robotics was founded by Wang Xingxing in Hangzhou in August 2016. In 2025 it had revenue of almost 1.7 billion yuan and shipped more than 5,500 humanoids. It listed on Shanghai's STAR Market in August 2026.
Price and availability
Unitree's site lists the H2 at $29,900 excluding tax and shipping. H2 EDU pricing comes from sales, and configuration (hands, compute, software) affects price and lead time.

Checked fields: height_cm, weight_kg, dof, payload_kg, battery_h.
- The specification table lists 182 cm. The promotional “180 cm” description is rounded.
- Arm payload is about 7 kg rated and 15 kg peak. Peak is not continuous load.
- About 3 hours is a manufacturer claim. Custom development and computing modules depend on the EDU configuration.
MERA field measurement report: not published. Demonstration footage and manufacturer specifications are not a MERA test under event conditions.
Data and provenance for AI agents ↗Compared with the catalogue
- At 182 cm the Unitree H2 is taller than 94% of the humanoids in the catalogue (median: 170 cm).
- It has 31 degrees of freedom against a catalogue median of 28; more degrees of freedom usually means finer arm and hand movement.
- Its weight of 70 kg (catalogue median: 65 kg) matters for transport and for working around people.
- It is one of 8 Unitree models in the catalogue and one of 128 humanoids from China.
