AGIBOT A2-Max is a full-size bipedal humanoid from Shanghai-based AgiBot, built for heavy work such as material handling and palletizing. It stands 175 cm tall, weighs 85 kg and, according to AgiBot, can handle objects of up to 40 kg across its whole working range. AgiBot's site lists it as coming soon.
History and launch
AgiBot unveiled the A2 family in August 2024. Alongside the base A2 for customer service and the wheeled A2-W, it included the A2-Max, described as a heavy-duty special-purpose robot. The "Max" refers to strength rather than better hands: its payload is far higher than that of the other A2 versions.
Design and hardware
AgiBot lists the A2-Max at 175 cm and 85 kg, with a walking speed of 1 m/s, a 60 cm turning radius and 2 hours of runtime on a swappable battery. Arm joints use dual-ratio reduction modules with up to 450 Nm of peak torque; the thighs use linear actuators, and the leg joints deliver 8,800 N of thrust.
Each arm has 7 DoF, each leg 6 and the waist 3, so the robot can squat and bend to pick items off the floor. Its industrial dexterous hands have 19 DoF, 12 of them active, and AgiBot quotes 67 active DoF in total. Sensors and interfaces include LiDAR, RGBD cameras in the head and waist, a chest fisheye camera, microphones, a speaker, an interaction screen and foot sensors.
Software and AI
AgiBot's broader software stack includes the GO-1 foundation model (March 2025), trained on the open AgiBot World dataset, and the Link-U OS embodied AI operating system (July 2025). AgiBot has not described A2-Max-specific software separately.
Manufacturer
AgiBot (AGIBOT Innovation (Shanghai) Technology) was founded in Shanghai in February 2023. Its 1,000th robot came off the line in January 2025, the 10,000th in March 2026 and the 15,000th in June 2026, and it says it led global humanoid shipments in 2025.
Price and availability
AgiBot's product page marks the A2-Max as "Coming soon" with no price.
