AgiBot X2 (Lingxi X2 in China) is a roughly 1.3 m humanoid from Shanghai-based AgiBot, aimed mainly at education, entertainment, performances and visitor services. It was shown in March 2025 and went on sale in several versions in May 2025.

History and launch

On 11 March 2025 AgiBot founder Peng Zhihui released a video of the Lingxi X2 prototype built by the company's X-Lab, showing it walking, running, dancing, riding a bicycle and balancing on a self-balancing board.

After pre-production upgrades, X2 went on sale on 22 May 2025. In July 2025 AgiBot showed X2-N, a variant with wheels built into its legs that switches between walking and rolling.

Despite the naming, X2 is not a scaled-up X1. It is a separate, smaller design in the Lingxi line, focused on interacting with people.

Design and technology

According to AgiBot's store, X2 stands about 1.31 m and weighs about 35 kg (Neo) or 39 kg (Ultra); the March 2025 prototype weighed 33.8 kg and had 28 degrees of freedom. The Neo has 30 DoF: 1 in the neck, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist and 6 per leg; the Ultra adds a second neck joint.

Peak joint torque is 120 Nm and arm reach 558 mm. Payload is modest: up to 1 kg across the full range of motion, up to 3 kg in certain postures. A roughly 500 Wh swappable battery gives about 2 hours of walking at 0.5 m/s and recharges in under 1.5 hours. Top speed is 2 m/s.

The Neo runs on two RK3588 chips with a single RGB camera. The Ultra adds an NVIDIA Orin NX module (157 TOPS), 3D LiDAR, an RGB-D camera and extra cameras for autonomous navigation in places such as parks.

Software and AI

Perception and scene understanding come from a VLM-based multimodal model. The robot reads facial expressions and tone of voice, holds conversations and can, for example, read out medication instructions. Software updates arrive over the air.

The Ultra supports secondary development from joint-level control up to model algorithms; the Neo does not.

Applications and deployments

AgiBot pitches X2 at schools, entertainment venues and exhibition halls for guiding visitors, dance shows and even stand-up comedy. Sales go through commercial partners that AgiBot began recruiting in May 2025. No exact sales figure has been published; in May 2025 the company projected shipments could pass 5,000 units by the end of 2026.

Manufacturer

AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics) is a Shanghai startup founded in 2023. Founder and CTO Peng Zhihui is a former Huawei employee and well-known online creator, and the Lingxi business is led by president Wei Qiang.

Price and availability

In China the three versions (Interactive, Pro, Ultra) were priced in May 2025 from just over 100,000 to 400,000 yuan. AgiBot's online store lists the X2 Neo at 25,600 US dollars, with Ultra pricing through sales.
