The AgiBot A2-W is the wheeled member of AgiBot's A2 family (Chinese series name Yuanzheng, "Expedition"). It swaps legs for a four-wheel-drive base carrying a dual-arm torso with a lifting, tilting waist, and the Shanghai company pitches it at flexible manufacturing and in-plant logistics.

History and launch

AgiBot unveiled the A2-W on August 18, 2024 during an online launch where it showed five robots at once: the bipedal A2 and A2-Max, the wheeled A2-W, and the open-source Lingxi X1 and X1-W. Coverage of the event described the A2-W as the variant tuned for flexible manufacturing.

At the same event AgiBot said deliveries would start in October 2024 and that it aimed to ship about 300 robots, legged and wheeled, by year end. The company announced mass production in December 2024 and reported its 1,000th general-purpose robot in January 2025, a figure covering all models rather than the A2-W alone.

Hardware

AgiBot's product page lists the A2-W at 770 x 620 x 1630 mm and 230 kg, most of it in the base. The four-wheel drive allows zero-radius turns and sideways "crab" motion.

Each arm has 7 degrees of freedom, and the total including the waist is 22. Payload is 5 kg per arm, and the lifting, tilting waist gives a working height from the floor to about 2 m.

Sensing includes a 360-degree lidar, four AI vision cameras, depth cameras and two six-axis force sensors at the wrists. The 2 kWh battery charges in roughly 2 hours, runs for about 5 hours and can be hot-swapped. The rated operating range is 0-45 °C.

Software and AI

AgiBot quotes 275 TOPS of onboard compute for real-time object recognition and pose estimation, with its own UniGrasp, Uni6DPose and UniPlug algorithms handling grasping, 6D pose and connector insertion.

The robot exposes open interfaces for custom development and receives over-the-air updates. AgiBot claims a station can be deployed and commissioned in a single day.

Applications

The use cases AgiBot names are machine loading and unloading, plugging connectors and moving materials between stations. Public sources do not give A2-W unit sales or confirmed customer names.

Manufacturer

AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics) was founded in Shanghai in February 2023 by former Huawei engineers Deng Taihua (CEO) and Peng Zhihui (CTO). Backers include HongShan, Hillhouse and BYD, and Reuters reported in 2025 that the company was preparing a Hong Kong listing.

Price and availability

AgiBot does not publish a list price for the A2-W. It is sold to industrial customers through AgiBot's sales team and distributors, with quotes on request.
