The Expedition A3 (Yuanzheng A3 in Chinese) is AgiBot's full-size bipedal humanoid for people-facing work: guided tours, retail assistance, promotions and stage shows. It is 173 cm tall, weighs about 55 kg and is built to do acrobatics such as flips and airborne kicks.

History and launch

AgiBot introduced the A3 on February 13, 2026 as the next full-size humanoid in its Expedition (Yuanzheng) line, which earlier produced the A2. A day later a video showed the robot doing a kung fu sequence with flying kicks, several strikes in one jump and steps in mid-air; AgiBot said it was filmed without CGI or AI effects.

The commercial launch, branded "born for the stage", followed on April 13, 2026 along with the first deliveries. AgiBot said all current orders were allocated and first-half capacity was sold out, and announced an A3 Ultra for round-the-clock venue deployment in the second half of the year.

Hardware

AgiBot's developer documentation gives 173 x 52 x 30 cm and roughly 55 kg, with 2 DOF in the neck, 7 per arm, 6 per leg and 3 in the waist. Optional AgiBot dexterous hands come as Agile (4 active DOF per hand) or Professional (13 per hand).

The frame uses magnesium alloy instead of aluminum, with titanium at high-stress points. The in-house joint actuators reach 150 A combined peak current and 12 kW instantaneous power, and AgiBot quotes a power-to-weight ratio of 0.218 kW/kg.

Two batteries totalling 1152 Wh give about 10 hours per the documentation and launch materials (February press coverage said up to 8), and a 10-second swap is meant to allow 24-hour operation. Charging takes up to 2 hours.

The documentation lists 1.2 m/s top speed, 15-degree slopes, 25 cm obstacles, 5 kg rated payload per arm and a -10 to 45 °C operating range, while February materials cited 3 kg at the arm tip with 2 m/s tool speed, so figures likely depend on configuration. The head carries two stereo camera pairs, two Rockchip RK3588-class modules handle compute, and connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G/5G and standard UWB positioning at centimetre level.

Software and AI

A large AI model handles conversation without a wake word, and shoulder touch sensors let people start a chat with a tap. AgiBot's Lingchuang platform lets users create, upload and share motion routines, and Lingxin is used to give the robot a character persona.

UWB positioning supports coordinated formations of up to 100 robots without hardware changes. Integrators get high-level programming interfaces through AgiBot's AimDK.

Deployments

The first units went in April 2026 to Qihong Culture & Tourism and Xiuka Technology for scenic sites and cultural venues in Qidong, Jiangsu, doing tours and performances; the number of units was not disclosed. AgiBot also uses the A3 in a series of kung fu style fight videos.

Price and availability

No official price has been published. The A3 has been on sale since April 2026, initially in China, with availability limited by AgiBot's production capacity.
