Cruzr S2 is a full-size wheeled humanoid from UBTECH of Shenzhen, China. Unlike the earlier Cruzr reception robot, the S2 is built mainly for factory and logistics work such as sorting, assembly and carrying loads. It debuted at the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2025.
History and launch
UBTECH unveiled Cruzr S2 at the World Robot Conference in Beijing (8-12 August 2025) alongside the bipedal Walker S2 and other Walker robots. The name recalls UBTECH's older Cruzr line of smaller customer-service robots, but the S2 is a different machine with a different job.
At the UBTECH booth Cruzr S2 took part in a full logistics workflow demo (storage, transport and sorting of materials) with Walker S2 and UQI vehicles, coordinated by Q-Brain Network 2.0.
Design and technology
The robot rides on a wheeled base at up to 2 m/s and navigates with fused vision and laser sensing. A symmetrical torso that bends both ways and a 0-40 cm lift let it rotate ±170° in 0.8 m wide aisles and handle up to 15 kg anywhere from floor level to 1.8 m.
Its hands are UBTECH's fourth-generation industrial dexterous hands, which the company says achieve sub-millimeter manipulation. A camera-only binocular stereo system in the head builds dense depth maps in real time. Height, weight, degree-of-freedom count and battery life are not given in UBTECH's text materials.
Software and AI
Cruzr S2 runs UBTECH's Co-Agent industrial agent. Through Brain Network 2.0 it can coordinate with other Cruzr and Walker S2 units and UBTECH mobile platforms in manufacturing and logistics.
Applications and deployments
UBTECH lists sorting, component assembly, intralogistics and guided tours. The company works with automakers including BYD, Geely, Audi FAW and Dongfeng Liuzhou and has announced large humanoid contracts, but we found no deployment count specific to Cruzr S2.
