History and launch
Walker C made its debut in Hong Kong in March 2025. In April 2025 it began working as a tour guide at the China Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, where UBTECH was the pavilion's only humanoid robotics partner. It has also appeared at events such as the Strawberry Music Festival 2025.
Hardware
The robot is 163 cm tall, weighs 43 kg and has 20 degrees of freedom. UBTECH says it can run steadily at 6 km/h, handle slopes and avoid obstacles. The arm has a 500 mm span and weighs 5 kg.
A 48 V, 15 Ah lithium battery charges in about 1.5 hours and, according to UBTECH, lasts roughly 2 hours of walking or 4 hours of standing. Perception relies on two RGBD cameras, two structured-light 3D cameras and an IMU, with U-SLAM navigation. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Software and AI
Walker C runs UBTECH's Embodied Interactive Large Model and handles multilingual conversation, for example as an exhibition guide. The joint control interface is open to integrators.
