Tian Yi 2.0 (Tianyi 2.0) is a dual-arm robot with a humanoid torso on a wheeled base, built by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center (X-Humanoid). Unlike its bipedal sibling Tien Kung, it is aimed at reception, patrol and pick-and-place work in buildings and factories.
History and launch
X-Humanoid introduced Tian Yi 2.0 in summer 2025 as part of its "2.0" lineup alongside the bipedal Tien Kung 2.0, and showed both at the World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2025.
That month, at the first World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, two Tian Yi 2.0 units took first and second place in the material-sorting event, working fully autonomously to insert 27 slender parts with 8 mm tips into the holes of a storage box.
Hardware
X-Humanoid's 2025 brochure lists an adjustable height of 130-165 cm, a weight of 88.5 kg and 35 degrees of freedom, with 7 per arm. The arms and grippers sit on a wheeled mobile base, which the company calls a wheel-arm robot.
In its patrol and inspection configuration the robot combines visible-light and thermal recognition, and the list of objects to detect can be changed through a large language model. Battery capacity and arm payload for this model have not been published.
Software and AI
Tian Yi 2.0 runs on X-Humanoid's Huisi Kaiwu (Wise KaiWu) platform, which supplies a planning "brain" and a motion-control "cerebellum". The brochure says an in-house VLA (vision-language-action) model lets it recognise elevators and gates, call lifts with buttons or key cards and pass through without building changes, and handle tasks like carrying items, pressing buttons and opening cabinet doors.
The company stresses that the same hardware can run different software modules, for example patrolling at night and reception during the day. Box-handling models can be deployed with low-code or no-code tools.
Deployments
The best-documented deployment is the Foton Cummins engine plant in Beijing's Changping district, where Tian Yi 2.0 and Tien Kung 2.0 autonomously pick, carry and place bins on an unmanned line, adapting to different shelf heights and container types. In January 2026 Beijing News reported Tian Yi 2.0 shelving six boxes in about four minutes; the company said it prioritises stability over speed because some boxes hold fragile parts, and efficiency is still being improved.
The brochure also lists reception, guided tours, Q&A, venue presentations, dance shows and patrols in offices and plants.
Manufacturer
The Beijing Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics (X-Humanoid) was founded in November 2023 to develop shared technology for the humanoid industry, notably the Tien Kung hardware platform and the Huisi Kaiwu AI platform. CEO Xiong Youjun has said that after the April 2025 robot half-marathon the focus moved from building the fastest robots to building the most useful ones.
