AGIBOT G1

In development

AGIBOT G1 (part of the Genie family) is a general-purpose robot from Shanghai-based AgiBot: a dual-arm torso with an adjustable waist on a wheeled chassis. It is built mainly for teleoperated data collection and for running trained models. AgiBot used more than 100 G1 units to collect the open AgiBot World dataset, on which it trained its GO-1 model.

History and role

AgiBot needed a standard hardware platform for collecting manipulation data at scale, and the G1 became the basis of AgiBot World. In December 2024 the company released an open dataset of around one million real-robot trajectories. According to an arXiv paper from March 2025, the data came from more than 100 identical G1 robots; the latest release holds 1,001,552 trajectories totalling 2,976.4 hours across 217 tasks, 87 skills and 106 scenes.

AgiBot trained Genie Operator-1 (GO-1), announced in March 2025, on this data; the authors report about a 30% average improvement over policies trained on Open X-Embodiment. AgiBot's site now also lists a newer Genie G2.

Design and hardware

The product page lists an adjustable height of 130-180 cm, a weight of 150 kg and a 70 cm span. It has 20 DoF excluding end effectors (26 for the whole robot): two 7-DoF arms, a head that pans and tilts, and a waist that bends, extends, rises and lowers. It can work above 2 m and hold a 3 kg object in one hand continuously.

End effectors are 6-DoF hands, swappable for a two-finger gripper, and both arms carry six-axis force sensors. The upper body has eight cameras (3 RGBD and 5 fisheye), and the chassis adds front and rear RGBD cameras and LiDAR. The base turns in place, climbs 20 mm thresholds and, per AgiBot, can travel 95% of factory aisles. Compute is an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64 GB, and runtime exceeds 4 hours.

Software and AI

The G1 supports VR or motion-capture teleoperation with millisecond-level latency and records full-body joint data. Data is checked automatically on the edge and manually in the cloud, then uploaded asynchronously with the local backlog kept under 2 hours. The robot can also run trained models onboard. AgiBot World is released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 along with code and model checkpoints.

Applications and deployments

AgiBot lists industrial, commercial and household scenarios, and the G1 is sold mainly to teams building their own data and models. In AgiBot World the robots performed fine manipulation, tool use and multi-robot collaborative tasks.

Manufacturer

AgiBot (AGIBOT Innovation (Shanghai) Technology) was founded in Shanghai in February 2023. It showed its first humanoid, A1, in August 2023 and the A2 and X1 series in August 2024. Its 1,000th robot came off the line in January 2025, the 10,000th in March 2026 and the 15,000th in June 2026, and it says it led global humanoid shipments in 2025.

Price and availability

AgiBot says the G1 is in mass production with immediate delivery but does not publish a price; quotes come from its sales team.
